Japanese hentai (sexually perverse materials) stretches from the benign form ecchi (soft porn) to the rather extreme forms of futanari (dickgirls) and tentacle rape. The ages of the characters can range from very young pubescent girls (and boys) known as lolicon to full breasted and big penis men and women. In between this age range are the teenaged hentai characters. Since the inception of modern Japanese hentai in the late 1940’s (during the occupation of Japan by American armed forces), mangas (comics) and anime (cartoon) productions were geared towards the teenaged audience. Although most of these materials are labeled 18-kin (above 18 only) or seijin manga (adult comics) they still find their way into the hands of teenaged readers and viewers. Both the storylines and characters are created with a teenaged audience in mind.
